  • How long does each each treatment take?

Treatment time can vary from 15 minutes to an hour or more, depending on you and your schedule.

  • Is electrolysis painful?

Most clients comment that electrolysis was not as bad as they had heard or imagined. A pinch, a pin prick, a snap...some fall asleep during their treatment! Adjustments are made to the settings to make it tolerable for each individual.

  • How many treatments will I need?

Since many factors influence hair growth, you will need to return for several electrolysis visits. The total number of sessions needed to remove hair permanently from a particular area will vary from person to person.  Number of appointments it takes depends on how much hair there is to remove, (The hair you see is not the only hair you have) the texture (fine to very course), hormonal complications.  It is recommended you schedule appointments 7 to 10 days apart as needed so hairs can be destroyed in the anagen stage of growth.  The unwanted hair will be gone forever once the series of treatments have been completed.

Consistency in your treatments plays a big part in speeding up the process of electrolysis. When electrolysis is performed in the anagen stage of hair growth, more of the treated hair cells are destroyed. When treatment schedules are not kept, there is a chance the hair will grow into its second or third stage. If this happens, then the electrolysis treatment will not be as effective.

  • Is Electrolysis expensive?

The expense of treatments might sound like a lot when talking about cost compared to other beauty services such as waxing, tweezing and sugaring. However, electrolysis is permanent. The investment stays with you while other services require indefinite repetition.

  • What areas of the body can be treated?

Unwanted hair can be removed from nearly all areas of the body. The most common areas are the hairline, eyebrows, cheeks, sideburn area, chin, throat neck, breasts, underarms, stomach, back, bikini line, feet and toes.
